The Global Cow Program requires all participants (trainees and interns) to attend an educational course while here. We consider these courses to be great options, based on their course material, reputation, location and costs. All of these choices include:
If participants or hosts find additional educational opportunities that should be considered and meet these criteria, please email Global Cow so that we can review them. *Trainees whose program durations are less than five months may choose to complete a specialized, program-approved project if they are unable to find a course during their program time-frame.
At the end of their program, all participants must show a certificate of completion from their chosen educational course. (If no certificate is given for some reason, participants must write a one-page document detailing what they did and learned at their educational course.)

PAYMENTS FOR EDUCATIONAL COURSE
All Global Cow participants pay $200 per month during their program towards their educational course. These funds can be used towards the payment of the educational course or related travel, as long as $1,000 remains in their account. If an intern or trainee wants to do a course before accruing $1000, that's completely OK... the intern/trainee just pays the course out of their own pocket.
Any unused monies in these accounts are returned at the end of the program, provided the participant completes the full year, and all required evaluations and other documentation.
This table lists educational course opportunities; you can sort by the column headers (date, duration, location, name, type or costs). Please note the details for each course--exactly what is included in the course costs varies!
The Global Cow Program is a hands-on training program for agricultural students or professionals in dairying. It is officially sponsored by Experience International in Everson, Washington.
