ARRIBA SPANISH

Spanish 2007 summer camps for adults are taught by Jeanie. Jeanie has been teaching Spanish "for years" in the Brattleboro area, and has a wealth of tricks up her sleeve to bring the language alive.

Spanish SOCCER camp for K-2 is taught by native Argentine Felipe. He has coached soccer for the town of Brattleboro, and is excited about doing this camp in Spanish now, too. Felipe is father to a young son, who loves soccer, and is fully ready to bring energy and enthusiasm for this world-loved sport to all the participants.

Spanish day camp for K-2 is instructed by native Spaniard Raquel. She has been teaching Spanish in the local grade schools this past year, and also teaches piano. Raquel will also be teaching the preschool camps. As a mother to a young son, too, she will draw on her knowledge of the language and elementary education skills.

Also assisting and co-teaching the children's groups as needed is Jill Stahl Tyler. Jill has lived in Spain and Argentina (as well as Brazil) and has a BA in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has taught English in Argentina and Brazil to children and adults. From personal experience, she knows what it means to learn a language and what it feels like to be "completely lost" in a language, too. And, Jill is mother to two young boys—and understands that classes must be active and fun!

ALLONS-Y FRENCH

French adult camps are taught by Maggie. She has taught locally here for many years, including over 20 years at the Putney School. She has a special technique that involves using as many senses as possible, which assists in more language retention, and has given great results to many people.

French soccer camp for K-2 is taught by native French speaker Hamidou. He hails from Cameroon in West Africa. Hamidou played on very well known teams there, and has been coaching children here now as well.

ANDIAMO ITALIAN

Italian adult camps are taught by Roberto. Roberto is a native Spanish speaker, who also speaks French... and who loves Italian. Roberto learned his Italian while traveling and living in Italy, and working there as part of the press.

MERHABA ARABIC

Arabic adult camps are taught by Jamila. Originally from Morroco, she has been teaching locally here for the past year or so, and her language classes have earned her great reviews. She looks forward to bringing her cultural and language knowledge to a broader community.
