U.S. Embassy Information

In order to obtain your visa, we will send you a DS-2019 and DS-7200. Many trainees also ask us to pay their SEVIS fees for them. You can also pay this at the US Embassy, but you must pay it before you go to the visa interview.

After paying the SEVIS fee, you need to make an appointment for your visa interview. Take the DS-2019 and DS- 7200(formerly IAP-66) form to your local US embassy. Also take along the letter if support from Global Cow and the letter of support from Cal Poly Tech State University, which we send with the DS-2019 and DS-7200 package.

Take the program information that we mail to you.

Take additional information about your farm, about your farm background, your family's tax returns, your education, support letters from your current employer, particularly if he states that you have a job upon your return to your home country, etc-- and any information that proves that you will be returning to your home country at the end of this program.

For more information about contacting US Embassies, see their website.

SEVIS Payment

As of September 1, 2004, the Department of Homeland Security collects a "SEVIS" fee. This fee covers the costs of maintaining a computerized database for tracking exchange visitors on F (student) or J (training) visas. For further details, see the US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement website.
